Auric Institute of Jewellery Design & Gemological Lab's Diamond Grading program introduces the students to the technical aspects of evaluating a diamond’s quality and hence value. It trains the students to develop expertise in grading cut diamonds on the basis of the Four C’s- Cut, Colour, Clarity and Carat with the use of the 10x loupe. It also imparts knowledge on the process of diamond mining,its occurrence, its physical and optical properties as well as information about synthetics and treatments and their distinguishing characteristics.
